My Experience with AdsDaq
Hello everyone. I’ve had a bit of a rough experience with the AdsDaq Advertising Network, and I’d like to share my experience. I was working with them as a Publisher and the earnings were great. However, the number of problems I encountered while using them have certainly pushed me far past my available level of patience.
I’ll start with one of the most critical issues surrounding their network. If their ad-server encounters any sort of problem, your sites will no longer be functional. As unusual as this may sound, it is extremely true and has occurred numerous times throughout their history, from what I understand. When their advertisement serving servers (all this redundancy is getting repetitive!) experience issues, the banners on your page will try to load continuously, but to no avail – making your page broken for extended periods of time. This happened just a few months ago for more than 48 hours to every single person serving their advertisements.
Now, I’d like to talk about a recent issue I’ve experienced with them simply not wanting to give me my money. They pay in a few ways, one of which is a direct deposit into your bank account – this is the option I had selected when I created my account. I was scheduled for payout way back on September 1st, but never received the money. Obviously sometimes things go wrong – so I didn’t get upset, and I contacted them asking for information. Here’s how it goes:
1. I ask where the payment is and why I haven’t received it.
2. 4 days later they leave a voicemail on my cellphone.
3. I call back and cannot reach anyone, and send another e-mail.
4. A few days pass with no response. I send another e-mail.
5. 6 days later I am told the ‘Finance Department’ is looking into the issue.
6. The next day I am told that I apparently changed information on my account, resulting in the ‘Finance Department’ having to ‘investigate’ and that I would receive payment on the November 30th.
7. Then, on 12/7/2009 I had still not received my payment. I entered a live chat (on that day) to get to the bottom of this:
Me: I have not yet received my payment. Where is it?
Them: what is your account number?
Me: XXXXXXX
Them: our payment works on a net 30 pay, with an minimum
Me: No, I have much over the minimum in the account.
Them: meaning, once you earn the minimum, you will be paid 30 days following the end of the month when the revenue was earned
Me: I am in my account – looking at the earnings page.
Me: Outstanding Balance: $XXX.XX
Me: Owed to me since September
Them: ok I see now
Them: sorry
Them: I will have accounting take care of this issue for you.
Me: When will I be receiving my payment, then?
Them: you will receive payment during this month
Me: Thank you.
Them: you are welcome!
Wow! Tell me that isn’t one shady conversation… I wait for the payment and it never arrives. On the 15th of December, I decide to try contacting them via live chat again:
Your chat session has been established.
Them: good afternoon
Them: how can i help you
Me: Hello there. I was in a chat a while ago, because I never received my payment, and he said it would be sent – but I STILL have not received it.
Them: do you have your account number please
Me: XXXXX
Them: you will not receive any earnings until the next pay cycle which is Dec 31
Me: No. My payment was supposed to be sent MONTHS ago.
Me: I was told last month it would be sent out, and the month before that.
Me: And now you’re giving me the same excuse.
Me: My original payout date was supposed to be the beginning of September.
Me: It is now December 15th, and I still don’t have my money.
Them: there must have been an oversight
Them: I have just sent a request to the finance department that your account be paid this next pay cycle
Them: the finance department only makes payments net 30
Me: Yes, but NET 30 doesn’t mean that if your finance department makes a mistake, I have to wait another entire month to get my funds.
Me: NET 30 means from the date you reach the minimum.
Me: Look. I earned this money. I was supposed to receive it months ago. I just want it – I don’t want to keep waiting and waiting.
Them: unfortuately their is not anything we can do at this time. The pay cycle will be paid in the next 15 days and the finance department has received your inquiry
Them: we can only apologize for the the miss on the behalf of the finance department
Me: Well then. It would be in the best interest of your finance department to ensure that my money is given to me immediately on the next pay cycle, otherwise I will contact my attorney and get my funds one way or another. Do you understand?
Them: i have sent your request
You have ended your chat session.
Truly unbelievable… Later that day I received an e-mail from them: “You ended the chat before we were able to provide you with the date that your outstanding balance will hit your account. You will see your outstanding balance Jan 2nd.”
A friend of mine provided me with the idea that perhaps AdsDaq did not have enough operating capital on-hand to pay me, which resulted in the delay. Anyway – several months later than the original scheduled payout date, I received my earnings. The money was deposited into my checking account at midnight on 1/5/2010 – which was still later than the last representative I spoke with told me it would arrive. All-in-all, I must say that I have never had such a terrible experience with any company or organization. As soon as the problems started to arise, I immediately stopped serving their advertisements, and I will never use them again. I am seriously displeased by the total lack of professionalism and proper business management on their end, and this just goes to show you that anyone can be scammed at anytime! Beware.
Keep your eyes open for additional reviews that I will be posting on other companies and networks, as well as a brief lesson on the importance of having sufficient operating capital when running a business. Check back soon!

You have had an awful experience with adsdaq. I would say they likely did run out of funds and this is why they delayed your payment. I am still to reach payout there but not I am not as confident that I will get paid. I did know a blogger that got a regular payment there every month no questions asked, but this was several months ago, so perhaps things have went downhill since then.

It’s been quite awhile since I’ve changed Ad Networks and I’ve always stayed with ADSDAQ since I can set a high CPM and still get a good fill rate. But lately, my websites have been bombarded with weight loss/teeth whitening ads and trust me on what I am going to say right now…they’re scams. I mean seriously? Come on. Not only are they scams but the ads look so ugly. It’s time to move on…
So I decided to switch to Burst (I got accepted in Burst Direct, wuhoo!) and so far the ads look like ads you know what I mean? I’m going to keep Burst for a month and then I’ll decide if I’m going back to ADSDAQ or I’m going to switch again. I’ll also mention several other things why I don’t like ADSDAQ anymore.
* US only ads (IIRC) or at least the Americas. And because of that most of my traffic come = wasted unless I put in a 2nd ad network.
* No alternative.
* The ads have gone down to literally ’shit’ lately.
So it’s time to say goodbye (for now). Sorry ADSDAQ! But please listen to me when I say this, it’s not all about how much we earn in our websites…we also like our users or should I say users > then my website revenues. The more users are satisfied with my websites, the more users will come and then the more ads will be served.
I’ll keep you guys posted about Burst Media in a month or so.

Just crossed the threshold with ADSDAQ. Hopefully I won’t have the same issues you had.

We use Adsdaq and have pretty good results. The teeth whitening stuff is a scam and we tried to remove that and other crap.
We received our first payment and now are awaiting our second larger payment. So far no payment issues but we did have to pull all Adsdaq ads for on night because the whole site was just hanging waiting for them. They do sometimes cause the site to slow.
In terms of earnings. It works well because they fill at whatever price you give them and if they don’t fill it goes on to the secondary ad network. The thing that works well is when you have big traffic surges which for us is 10K visits in a day or more. You actually have higher fill rates on those days vs. Adsense who’s click rates plunge.
Overall, we think it’s ok. The ad serving needs to be better but it gives a steady income based on impressions. We haven’t had any payment issues but we haven’t had much history yet.
